Veterinary Clinics

Client education is a very important part of any Veterinary Hospital. It is important for our clients to be informed and educated in regards to their pet's health. This is essential for them to make their decisions.

Our clients can be overwhelmed with large amounts of information in short periods of time (15 minute appointments) and often do not get the chance to ask questions. Many times we do not discuss things that we believe are "common knowledge". Therefore, our clients may have misconceptions when it comes to their pet's health. This can lead to poor decision-making.

What the veterinary community perceives as an emergency may not be considered as one by our clients. Furthermore, our clients may consider something an emergency and expect to be seen "no matter what". This situation creates unhappy clients, overworked veterinary staff, and stressed patients. If our veterinary hospital and our clients have similar expectations we will be able to satisfy more of them.

It is through this First Aid course that we can teach our clients to be more aware of their pet's health and to see through our eyes when it comes to emergencies.

  • Provide business cards/magnets to be included in First Aid Kit.
  • Provide hospital emergency procedures to be included in First Aid Manual.

Optional hospital contributions

  • Hospital may also sponsor any portion: snacks/pen/writing pads/folders/door prizes.
  • Hospital may contribute to advertising (i.e. add course information to existing advertisements/yellow pages/client mailings).
