This hospital is very family oriented and puts client/pet care and education above all other things. Position will be full time with these definate hours Wednesdays 8am-6pm, Thursdays 8am-6pm and Saturdays 8am-2pm. Wages will be determined based on experience. Individual will, with training, be required to open clinic in the morning and take care of all hospitalized or boarding patients before the day starts. They will need to do a pre-exam in the appointment room with the pet/client before the veterinarian comes in to do the full examination. This pre-exam will need to include taking a history, educating the client on any relevant issues, taking a temperature and recording all observations in the computer system. Other tasks will include assiting in holding animals for surgical prep, answering phones, booking appointments, invoicing food/over the counter sales, care of hospitalized and boarding patients, etc. We are more than willing to train anyone willing to learn and can take further initiative with training. A registered veterinary technician or an animal health technician or a bachelor of science degree in animal biology is a requirement along with a friendly, personable attitude!!
